David grew up in Nashville, attending college and graduating with a psychology major and biology minor from Lipscomb University. After graduation, he went on to work at Mental Health Cooperative and from there to Cumberland Heights. David’s time at Cumberland Heights lasted eight years where he worked in various roles including individual and family counselor, case manager, business development and mobile assessment. During this time, he also completed his Masters in counseling at Trevecca University and went on to help facilitate a pro-bono counseling program at The West Nashville Dream Center.  He is uniquely suited to work with men’s issues, general mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, and specializes in trauma and addictions. David holds two state license designations for counseling, the LPC-MHSP (Licensed Professional Counselor) which is focused on overall mental health, and the LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor) specific to addiction.  In his spare time, David enjoys spending time in the local parks, cooking and supporting local artists and non-profits and spending quality time with his wife, daughter and dog.
